Turmeric futures traded higher on pick-up in demand

Turmeric traded higher on NCDEX, due to increased buying following expectation of pick-up in domestic demand amid festive season. Besides, diminishing arrivals from growing regions too fueled the uptrend.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 6836.00, up by 0.35% or Rs 24 from its previous closing of Rs 6812.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10455 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 6860.00, up by 0.82% or Rs 56 from its previous closing of Rs 6804.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 4415 lots on NCDEX.
