Turmeric futures trade mixed on NCDEX

Turmeric futures traded mixed on NCDEX, as contract for April traded up on concerns that drought conditions and cold weather will adversely affect the production, while contract for May traded down due to diminishing export demand amid poor quality of crop.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 6306.00, up by 0.06% or Rs 4 from its previous closing of Rs 6302.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 13145 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 6330.00, down by 0.47% or Rs 30.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6360.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 1160 lots on NCDEX.
