Turmeric futures trade lower on profit-taking

Turmeric futures traded lower on NCDEX as investors locked in their profits at prevailing higher prices. However, some losses were trimmed on concerns of decline in arrivals from growing regions.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 7134.00, down by 1.25 % or Rs 90.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7224.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 195 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 7242.00, down by 0.58 % or Rs 42.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7284.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 18150 lots on NCDEX.
