Turmeric futures trade lower on profit booking

Turmeric futures traded lower on NCDEX due to profit booking by market participants triggered by adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions. Besides, eased demand in spot markets also dragged the price further.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 7182.00, down by 0.36 % or Rs 26.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7208.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 14610 lots.

The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 7260.00, down by 0.38 % or Rs 28.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7288.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 7505 lots on NCDEX.
