Turmeric futures trade lower on profit booking

Turmeric futures traded lower on NCDEX as traders locked-in gains at prevailing higher levels amid increased supply from the growing regions.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 7444.00, down by 2.05 % or Rs 156.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7600.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 4175 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 7542.00, down by 1.72 % or Rs 132.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7674.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 15030 lots on NCDEX.
