Turmeric futures trade lower on NCDEX

Turmeric futures traded lower on NCDEX due to offloading of positions by traders, triggered by adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing regions. Besides, muted demand in the physical market also kept turmeric price downward.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 7220.00, down by 0.33% or Rs 24.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7244.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 15210 lots.

The contract for July delivery was trading at Rs 7310.00, down by 0.49% or Rs 36.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7346.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 6880 lots on NCDEX.
