Turmeric futures trade lower on NCDEX

Turmeric futures traded lower on NCDEX due to better sowing and hopes of better turmeric crop than last year following favorable weather condition at the producing belts. Though, some losses were capped on expectation of pickup in domestic demand ahead of festival season.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 6836.00, down by 1.07% or Rs 74.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6910.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 5805 lots.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 6930.00, down by 1.14% or Rs 80.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7010.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10695 lots on NCDEX.
