Turmeric futures trade in green on improved demand

Turmeric futures traded in green on NCDEX, with the expectation of bargain buying at lower levels due to improving demand from the physical market players. Besides, the export of turmeric was reported to be higher by 5% at 12,755 tonnes in June 2018 compared to last years' exports.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 6530.00, up by 1.87% or Rs 120.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6410.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 65 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 6710.00, up by 0.81% or Rs 54.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6656.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 11425 lots on NCDEX.
