Turmeric futures trade higher on uptick demand

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX, due to widening of bets by market participants tracking uptick in demand from spot domestic markets. Moreover, minimum stock levels followed by decreased arrivals from growing regions also supported the prices.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 6828.00, up by 0.50% or Rs 34.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6794.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10130 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 6884.00, up by 0.53% or Rs 36.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6848.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 7580 lots on NCDEX.
