Turmeric futures trade higher on strong demand

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX on the back of strong demand from bulk buyers for good-quality crop. However, improvement in new crop arrivals at the spot market, trimmed some gains.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 6300.00, up by 0.67% or Rs 42.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6258.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5895 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 6368.00, up by 0.63% or Rs 40.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6328.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10095 lots on NCDEX.
