Turmeric futures trade higher on rise in demand

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX, due to enlargement of position by speculators. Moreover, rise in demand from domestic spot markets also fuelled the uptrend.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 6968.00, up by 0.58 % or Rs 40.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6928.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 4095 lots.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 6676.00, up by 0.45 % or Rs 30.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6646.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 11830 lots on NCDEX.
