Turmeric futures trade higher on NCDEX

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX with widening of portfolios by market participants due to improving physical demand for the crop. However, expectation of increase in fresh arrivals at the spot market, trimmed some gains.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 6150.00, up by 0.2% or Rs 12.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6138.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 9450 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 6188.00, up by 0.26% or Rs 16.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6172.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 6045 lots on NCDEX.
