Turmeric futures trade higher on NCDEX

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX, due to unfavorable weather conditions in few growing regions that may affect the crop production in an adverse manner. Though, sluggish demand in the physical market, capped the uptrend.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 6198.00, up by 0.62% or Rs 38.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6160.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 11750 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 6260.00, up by 0.61% or Rs 38.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6222.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3030 lots on NCDEX.
