Turmeric futures trade higher on NCDEX

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX, tracking fresh buying by local stockists amid arrival of good quality produce and strong upcountry demand. Moreover, reports on improvement in export demand in near term also boosted turmeric rates.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 6850.00, up by 0.15 % or Rs 10.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6840.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 13750 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 6970.00, up by 0.75 % or Rs 52.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6918.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3240 lots on NCDEX.
