Turmeric futures trade higher on improved demand

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX, on improved demand in spot market. Besides, technical buying after the prices dropped on improved sowing in major growing areas and higher supply lifted the prices.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 6802.00, up by 0.03% or Rs 2.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6800.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10630 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 6866.00, up by 0.12% or Rs 8.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6858.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 7260 lots on NCDEX.
