Turmeric futures trade higher on improved demand

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX, as speculators indulged in fresh buying tracking improvement in upcountry turmeric demand. However, new season arrivals and good production prospects, capped the uptrend.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 6326.00, up by 0.29% or Rs 18.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6308.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 9415 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 6380.00, up by 0.25% or Rs 16.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6364.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5050 lots on NCDEX.
