Turmeric futures trade higher on improved demand

Turmeric futures traded higher on NCDEX, on short covering due to improved export and domestic demand. Though, expectations of increase in arrivals at the spot markets in the coming days with better moisture content, capped some gains.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 6436.00, up by 0.59% or Rs 38.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6398.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 13390 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 6482.00, up by 0.28% or Rs 18.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6464.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 945 lots on NCDEX.
