Turmeric futures trade down on weak demand

Turmeric futures traded down on NCDEX as participants cut down their bets, tracking weak domestic as well as export demand in the spot market. Further, increased arrivals from major growing regions also weighed on turmeric futures.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 6956.00, down by 0.37% or Rs 26.00 from its previous closing of Rs 6982.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 7345 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 7094.00, down by 0.37% or Rs 26.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7120.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2705 lots on NCDEX.
