Turmeric Futures Moves Higher On Short Covering
Turmeric futures were trading higher; there has been short covering in the commodity since start of the week after witnessing decline in futures as well as spot markets. The trade has remained lackluster for the commodity and if arrivals from Mysore increase then prices can again come under pressure.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 4622.00, up by 0.48% or Rs 22.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4,600.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10290 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 4490.00, down by 0.81% or Rs 36.00 from its previous closing of Rs 4,454.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 4885 lots on NCDEX.
