Turmeric futures decline on NCDEX

Turmeric futures traded lower on NCDEX as it is under correction at higher levels tracking drip in spot demand. Moreover, export of turmeric is reported to be down by 11.8% to 98,487 tonnes for the first 11 month of FY 2017/18 (Apr-Feb) compared to last years' exports.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 7252.00, down by 1.41 % or Rs 104.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7356.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 405 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 7348.00, down by 0.70 % or Rs 52.00 from its previous closing of Rs 7400.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 18015 lots on NCDEX.
