Physical Rubber prices witness some weakness on Wednesday

Physical Rubber prices showed some weakness on Wednesday due to tepid demand from stockists and tyre manufacturers. Rubber prices weakened further on expectations of a rise in rubber imports. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety remained unchanged at Rs 123.50/kg; while the RSS-5 variety declined to Rs 116/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 116.50/kg.

In the futures market, March delivery rose to Rs 125.24 compared to its previous closing of Rs 125, while April delivery was at Rs 128 compared to its previous close of Rs 128.06 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
