Physical Rubber prices witness firmness on Tuesday

Physical Rubber prices showed firmness on Tuesday, following improved demand from domestic stockists. Though, expectations of a rise in rubber imports, capping sharp gains. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 129/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 128.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained Rs 125.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 125/ kg.

In the futures market, April delivery rose to Rs 132.03 compared to its previous closing of Rs 131.88, while May delivery was at Rs 134.50 compared to its previous close of Rs 134.18 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
