Physical Rubber Prices Show Mixed Trend On Monday (17-Jan-2012)
Physical rubber prices showed mixed trend on Monday, though the trade remained steady but the domestic futures slipped in late trade after moving higher and weighed on sentiments. The volume remained low and traders avoided taking any long bets fearing sharp decline.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed unchanged at Rs 187.50/kg; while the RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 181/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 182/kg.
In the futures market, the contract for February delivery closed at Rs 192.48 compared to its previous closing of Rs 193.54, while the contract for March delivery closed at Rs 196.20 compared to its previous closing of Rs197.27 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
