Potato futures move higher on restricted arrivals

Potato futures moved higher on MCX as speculators enlarged their positions driven by strong demand in the spot market supported by ongoing marriage season. Restricted arrivals in the markets from major producing belts too impacted trading sentiments.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 944.00, up by 0.81% or Rs 7.60 from its previous closing of Rs 936.40. The open interest of the contract stood at 1211.00 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 938.00, up by 1.43% or Rs 13.20 from its previous closing of Rs 924.80. The open interest of the contract stood at 575.00 lots on MCX.
