Pepper Futures Extend Their Declining Trend In New Week (16-Jan-2012)
Pepper futures continue to remain in somber mood with the start of the new week, the commodity prices have been under pressure for last couple of days lacking buying interest and export demand in the mandis. Traders are expecting the trend to remain same for few more days till the export demand picks-up.
The contract for January delivery was trading at Rs 30120.00, down by 1.50% or Rs 460.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30,580.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 4103 lots.
The contract for February delivery was trading at Rs 30500.00, down by 1.45% or Rs 450.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30,950.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2915 lots on NCDEX.
