Pepper Futures Continue To Trade Higher On Friday (20-Jan-2012)
Pepper futures continue to remain in upbeat mood on Friday as the demand remained steady, though there was some arrival pressure in the mandis but the export demands too are expected to recover. On the same time reports of a possible coverage by origin-specific buyers and some others from European region, also helped the market remain bullish.
The contract for January delivery was trading at Rs 31,680.00, up by 0.59% or Rs 185.00 from its previous closing of Rs 31,495.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1755 lots.
The contract for February delivery was trading at Rs 32,360.00, up by 0.75% or Rs 240.00 from its previous closing of Rs 32,120.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5254 lots on NCDEX.
