Soybean futures trade lower on NCDEX

Soybean futures traded lower on NCDEX as participants trimmed their positions due to pressure from slowing demand in top importer China. Though, expectation of diminishing arrivals and good crushing demand from the oil millers, capped some losses.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 3705.00, down by 0.48% or Rs 18.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3723.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 49340 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 3763.00, down by 0.45% or Rs 17.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3780.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 148930 lots on NCDEX.
