Soybean futures extend gains on improving demand

Soybean futures extended gains on NCDEX as speculators enlarged their holdings, supported by improving demand at the domestic spot market. Though, disappointing soymeal export numbers and higher projection of 2018-19 soybean crops, capped some gains.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 3786.00, up by 0.34% or Rs 13.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3773.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 86940 lots on NCDEX.
