Soybean futures decline on subdued demand

Soybean futures declined on NCDEX, as speculators trimmed their positions, triggered by subdued demand at the domestic spot market and higher output projection. India's 2018-19 soybean output is projected 24.7% higher at 13.69 million tons as per second advance estimates released by agriculture ministry.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 3740.00, down by 0.48% or Rs 18.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3758.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 35540 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 3805.00, down by 0.47% or Rs 18.00 from its previous closing of Rs 3823.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 153720 lots on NCDEX.
