Nickel futures tumble on MCX

Nickel futures tumbled on MCX as speculators went on selling off after weak trend in global market and subdued domestic demand. The international market also went subdued as reforms in China threaten steel-intensive infrastructure projects. Besides, approaching November expiry also trimmed the metal prices.

The contract for November delivery was trading at Rs 731.30, down by 1.80% or Rs 13.40 from its previous closing of Rs 744.70. The open interest of the contract stood at 14054 lots.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 735.30, down by 1.80% or Rs 13.50 from its previous closing of Rs 748.80. The open interest of the contract stood at 11568 lots on MCX.
