Nickel futures trade lower on subdued demand

Nickel futures traded lower on MCX as speculators cut down their bets, tracking subdued demand from alloy-makers and other consuming industries at the spot market.

The contract for December delivery was trading at Rs 764.50, down by 0.12% or Rs 0.90 from its previous closing of Rs 765.40. The open interest of the contract stood at 15700 lots.

The contract for January delivery was trading at Rs 769.90, down by 0.08% or Rs 0.60 from its previous closing of Rs 770.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 1231 lots on MCX.
