Nickel futures edge lower on muted demand

Nickel futures edged lower on MCX as traders offloaded their holdings amid muted demand from alloy-makers and other consuming industries at the domestic spot market.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 890.70, down by 0.18% or Rs 1.60 from its previous closing of Rs 892.30. The open interest of the contract stood at 8022 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 896.30, down by 0.14% or Rs 1.30 from its previous closing of Rs 897.60. The open interest of the contract stood at 588 lots on MCX.
