Mentha Oil Futures Trade Low On MCX (07-Feb-2012)
Mentha oil futures' near term contract were trading lower as traders booked profit on the back of subdued demand from the pharmaceutical industries. Although the trend for the commodity is likely to remain very volatile in the short term, however, medium term sentiments look positive on an expected pickup in demand in coming weeks.
The contract for February delivery was trading at Rs 1522.90, down by 0.18% or Rs 2.80 from its previous closing of Rs 1525.70. The open interest of the contract stood at 4096 lots.
The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 1540.30, up by 0.36% or Rs 5.60 from its previous closing of Rs 1534.70. The open interest of the contract stood at 920 lots on MCX.
