Barley futures trade lower on NCDEX

Barley futures traded lower on NCDEX due to offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from beer makers in the physical market.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 1422.50, down by 0.77 % or Rs 11.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1433.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 3820 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 1438.50, down by 0.48 % or Rs 7.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1445.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 15090 lots.
