Barley futures trade higher on uptick in demand

Barley futures traded higher on NCDEX, as market players enlarged their holdings tracking uptick in demand from spot domestic markets. Moreover, minimum stock availability and stringent supplies also triggered the upward momentum.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 1622.00, up by 0.65% or Rs 10.50 from its previous closing of Rs 1611.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 930 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 1690.00, up by 0.36% or Rs 6.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1684.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 8050 lots on NCDEX.
