Barley futures trade higher on firm demand

Barley futures traded higher on NCDEX, driven by fresh positions built up by participants on back of rise in demand in the spot market.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 1464.00, up by 0.90% or Rs 13.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1451.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1330 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 1454.00, up by 1.18% or Rs 17.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1437.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 12340 lots on NCDEX.
