Barley futures edge higher on rising demand

Barley futures edged higher on NCDEX on rising demand at the physical markets. Moreover, restricted supplies from growing regions also added support to barley prices' uptrend.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 1507.50, up by 0.27% or Rs 4.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1503.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 9160.00 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 1543.50, up by 0.19% or Rs 3.00 from its previous closing of Rs 1540.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 4370.00 lots on NCDEX.
