Jeera futures traded modestly lower on NCDEX as speculators trimmed positions to book profits at prevailing levels amid lower domestic and exports demand. Moreover, higher crop prospects amid sluggish spot demand also attributed to the further drag in jeera price.
The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 15675.00, down by 1.38 % or Rs 220.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15895.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5496 lots.
The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 15720.00, down by 1.38 % or Rs 220.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15940.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3273 lots on NCDEX.
