Jeera futures trade tad higher on NCDEX

Jeera futures traded marginally higher on NCDEX, with the accumulation of bets amid strong physical demand after prices seen pressure following reports of good rain fall in producing areas of Gujarat. While, as per reports jeera arrivals stood at 8,700 ton during July as against 3,800 ton a year ago in the same period, triggering more demand and price.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 19340.00, up by 0.23 % or Rs 45.00 from its previous closing of Rs 19295.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5598 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 19650.00, up by 0.28 % or Rs 55.00 from its previous closing of Rs 19595.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3150 lots on NCDEX.
