Jeera futures traded lower on NCDEX, as market participants narrowed their bets tracking weak demand. However, some losses remained capped on report that India's jeera exports were up by 30% on current year to 9,512 tonnes compared to 7,325 tonnes last year.
The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 16320 .00, down by 0.18% or Rs 30.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16350.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1188 lots.
The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 15950.00, down by 0.44% or Rs 70.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16020.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5241 lots on NCDEX.
