Jeera futures trade lower on NCDEX

Jeera futures traded lower on NCDEX, as market players liquidated their holdings on anticipation of rise in production amid reports of higher sowing of cumin in Gujarat and Rajasthan. However, steady domestic and export demands capped the downside momentum.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 17020.00, lower by 0.12% or Rs 20.00 from its previous closing of Rs 17040.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3087 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 16800.00, down 0.44% or Rs 75.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16875.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 375 lots on NCDEX.
