Jeera futures trade lower on NCDEX

Jeera futures traded lower on NCDEX, as speculators reduced exposure on account of reduced export demand in the physical market. Moreover, expectation of higher production due to adequate availability of water in the growing regions also fuelled the downtrend.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 15580.00, lower by 0.7% or Rs 110.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15690.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2370 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 15290.00, down by 0.29% or Rs 45.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15335.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2304 lots on NCDEX.
