Jeera futures trade lower on muted demand

Jeera futures traded lower on NCDEX amid muted demand from retailers and stockists at the spot market. Further, rising arrivals from major growing regions also weighed on jeera futures.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 20300.00, down by 0.44% or Rs 90.00 from its previous closing of Rs 20390.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 7674 lots.

The contract for October delivery was trading at Rs 20650.00, down by 0.12% or Rs 25.00 from its previous closing of Rs 20675.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1653 lots on NCDEX.
