Jeera futures trade lower on higher supply

Jeera futures traded lower on NCDEX as speculators reduced exposure on account of higher supply in the physical market and expectation of improved crop prospects. Though, improving demand from the bulk buyers for new season crop, trimmed some losses.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 16100.00, lower by 0.19% or Rs 30.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16130.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1056 lots.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 16185.00, down by 0.12% or Rs 20.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16205.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 6180 lots on NCDEX.
