Jeera futures traded lower on NCDEX as speculators booked profits at prevailing price levels considering easing physical demand. Moreover, increased supplies from growing belts also weighed on the prices.
The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 16260.00, down by 0.25% or Rs 40.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16300.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1998 lots.
The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 15950.00, down by 0.65% or Rs 105.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16055.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5409 lots on NCDEX.
