Jeera futures trade higher on NCDEX

Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX as traders indulged in fresh buying amid anticipations of healthy demand for new crop from exporters in the near-term. However, some gains were limited in future market due to higher crop prospects in the current season.

The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 15890.00, up by 0.16% or Rs 25.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15865.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 5298 lots.

The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 16000.00, up by 0.57% or Rs 90.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15910.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2319 lots on NCDEX.
