Jeera futures trade higher on NCDEX

Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX, on the back of water shortage in parts of the growing regions of Gujarat. However, reports of lower export demand due to substandard quality of crop, capped the uptrend.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 15985.00, up by 0.79% or Rs 125.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15860.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 3021 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs. 15845.00, gain by 0.48% or Rs 75.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15770.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 1026 lots on NCDEX.
