Jeera futures trade higher on NCDEX

Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX due to rising demand from the countries like China and Bangladesh. Further, tight stocks position following lower supplies from the producing belts ahead of festive season at the spot market too fuelled the uptrend.

The contract for August delivery was trading at Rs 18600.00, up by 1.42% or Rs 260.00 from its previous closing of Rs 18340.00.The open interest of the contract stood at 135 lots.

The contract for September delivery was trading at Rs 18640.00, up by 0.22% or Rs 40.00 from its previous closing of Rs 18600.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 20037 lots on NCDEX.
