Jeera futures trade higher on lower output

Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX, on the back of increased buying due to lower output amid lower acreage in Gujarat. Besides, expectations of improving domestic demand for new season crop also fuelled the uptrend.

The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 15950.00, up by 0.31% or Rs 50.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15900.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 75 lots.

The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 15425.00, gain by 0.46% or Rs 70.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15355.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 4233 lots on NCDEX.
