Jeera futures traded higher on NCDEX, as investors widened their bets at lower price levels amid increased domestic and export demand. However, some gains remained capped on expectations of higher production from new season.
The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 15880.00, up by 0.22% or Rs 35.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15845.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10566 lots.
The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 16070.00, up by 0.03% or Rs 5.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16065.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2130 lots on NCDEX.
